Carriero Foot and Ankle opened a new Gulf Shores, Alabama location as an extension of Keenan Carriero, DPM's established practice in Encinitas, California, where he has practiced for more than 20 years. Dr. Carriero, joined by Zachary Kramer, DPM, is certified in foot, reconstructive rearfoot, and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. The Gulf Shores team treats bunions, flat foot, fractures, Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis, rheumatoid and ankle arthritis, Achilles ruptures, chronic ankle instability, and congenital and degenerative foot deformities. Surgical care, injection therapies such as platelet-rich plasma, and treatment for sports injuries in athletes and active individuals are among the practice's offerings. Patients can schedule appointments through the practice's online booking system, and Gulf Shores-area surgeries are performed at Baldwin Health in Foley, Alabama.
