The Foot Group, P.C. serves patients from its Athens, Alabama office as well as a main location in Madison, under the care of Tara L.F. Blasingame, DPM. The practice addresses a broad spectrum of podiatric needs, including arthritic foot care, bunions, calluses and corns, crush injuries, flat feet, fungal toenails, hammertoes, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, neuromas, and warts, along with diabetic foot complications. Hospital-based surgery is available through affiliations with Parkway Medical Center in Decatur and Limestone Hospital in Athens, and the office uses a computerized gait analysis system to design custom-molded orthotics for patients with biomechanical issues. Shockwave therapy is also offered for stubborn heel pain. Dr. Blasingame, who trained in podiatric medicine and completed an Army podiatric surgery residency, aims to educate each patient and build a treatment plan suited to their individual foot troubles. Medicare patients are welcomed at both office locations.
