Dr. Timothy Murphy did not originally set out to become a foot doctor. After earning a degree in communications and starting a career in medical equipment sales, he met a podiatrist who encouraged him to enter the profession. He studied premedical coursework at the University of California, Los Angeles, then attended podiatry school in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency in Richmond, Virginia at a veterans' hospital. He chose southern Alabama to start his practice, and since 2000 has led Bay Podiatry, LLC, with locations in Spanish Fort, Saraland, and Tillman's Corner, Alabama, treating bunions, corns and calluses, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, and ingrown toenails, offering diabetic foot care, diabetic shoes, custom orthotics, wound care, and foot and ankle surgery.
