Dr. Stephen Kominsky, DPM practices foot and ankle surgery within Advanced Spine and Pain, a multi-provider pain management and orthopedic group with numerous locations across the Phoenix metro area, including Peoria. With more than 40 years of experience, he is described as a nationally recognized leader in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, limb preservation, and complex lower extremity care, and he is board certified in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Kominsky's practice covers flatfoot and cavus foot deformities, bunions and forefoot disorders, Achilles tendon injuries, arthritis, tendon tears, fractures, peripheral nerve disorders, sports injuries, and complex wounds requiring limb preservation. He previously founded the podiatric surgical residency program at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and served as team surgeon for the Washington Capitals and Georgetown University Athletics. Surgical procedures he performs include flatfoot reconstruction, bunion correction, Achilles repair, and tarsal tunnel release.
