Dr. Joseph E. Knochel, D.P.M. built a podiatry practice in Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, that spanned four decades, beginning in 1978 when he purchased a small local practice and grew it while commuting from Phoenix. He was the first podiatric surgeon admitted to the courtesy staff of Yavapai Regional Medical Center, and his in-office surgery suite provided minor surgical care for conditions such as neuromas, hammertoes, and ingrown toenails. His practice also addressed pediatric flat feet and lower-extremity ulcers. A graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Knochel completed his residency at the University of Southern California and later served as a clinician for USC's podiatry program. Dr. Knochel retired from his Prescott-area practice in 2018 and subsequently resumed podiatric practice at Agave Foot Specialists in Phoenix, continuing his decades of experience caring for patients in Arizona.
