About Dr. David A. Pougatsch

Dr. David A. Pougatsch operates The Wound Expert, a Beverly Hills-based consulting practice focused on lower extremity wounds, infections, and amputation prevention. A fellowship-trained podiatrist board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Amputation Prevention & Wound Care, he treats complex diabetic foot wounds, venous leg ulcers, pressure sores, and ischemic wounds, and has experience with skin grafts, graft substitutes, limb salvage, reconstructive surgery, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Dr. Pougatsch serves as a Clinical Instructor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Western University's College of Podiatric Medicine and holds attending privileges at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he helps train podiatric residents. Beyond direct patient care, he consults with physicians, hospital-based wound centers, and legal teams reviewing wound care cases, drawing on his experience founding a multi-specialty wound care group in Southern California to help facilities and practices strengthen their wound care programs.
