About Releford Foot and Ankle Institute

Dr. Bill J. Releford, DPM, founded Releford Foot and Ankle Institute in Inglewood, California, after graduating from Temple University's School of Podiatric Medicine and completing his residency at Southwest Detroit Hospital. With more than 30 years of experience in diabetic limb preservation and wound care, Dr. Releford has built the institute's mission around educating, screening, and treating patients at risk of amputation, reporting a 93 percent wound healing rate and thousands of wounds healed over the years. Beyond diabetic foot care and wound management, the institute treats corns and calluses, bunion deformities, hammertoe deformities, diabetic neuropathy, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, plantar warts, and foot fungus, and offers regenerative treatments including platelet-rich plasma and stem cell therapy for ankle pain and other conditions. The practice also provides dermatologic care for skin conditions affecting the feet and legs and offers weekend appointment availability. Dr. Releford is a published author who lectures nationally and internationally on limb preservation.
