Pacific Foot & Ankle Center, led by Dr. David Petersen, has served Laguna Woods and the surrounding communities of Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, San Clemente, and Dana Point for more than a decade. The practice combines digital X-ray imaging with advanced technologies including a REMY Class IV laser for toenail fungus, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and wart removal, along with EPAT, ESWT, and EMTT shockwave therapy to treat chronic heel pain, tendonitis, and fractures without surgery. A 3D iPad orthotic scanning system allows the office to create custom orthotics for flat feet, high arches, neuromas, and foot and ankle tendonitis in both children and adults. Dr. Petersen also treats bunions, ingrown nails, ankle sprains, and fractures, and performs surgery at nearby surgical centers when conservative care is not enough. The practice offers same-day appointments for emergencies when available, along with periodic weekend appointments, and accepts Medicare along with a range of other insurance plans.
