Monterey Foot and Ankle Center is led by Dr. Amir Dastgah, a board-certified podiatric surgeon and associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons serving the Monterey, California community. Dr. Dastgah trained at some of the busiest limb salvage and trauma centers in the country, including Staten Island University Hospital in New York and Beth Israel Medical Center-Mount Sinai in Manhattan, and now specializes in adult reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, foot and ankle arthritis, ankle arthroscopy, and both pediatric and adult flatfoot correction. He also serves as Chief of Podiatry and staffs the Wound Care Center at Washington Hospital in Fremont. The practice treats bunions, fractures, and heel spurs or plantar fasciitis, and provides wound care for patients with non-healing injuries. As an avid soccer player, Dr. Dastgah has a particular interest in treating sports-related injuries, and the office emphasizes taking the necessary time with each patient rather than rushing through treatment.
