Douglas M. Taylor, DPM has practiced as a podiatrist and surgeon in Walnut Creek, California since 1985, later opening a second office in San Leandro in 2007. Board certified with diplomate status from the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry and a fellow of the American Board of Podiatric Sports Medicine, Dr. Taylor treats a wide range of foot, ankle, and toe conditions, including ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, fractures, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, hammertoes, bunions, flat feet, neuropathy, ankle sprains, neuromas, gout, and corns and calluses. Both offices are equipped with on-site x-ray machines and stock orthotics, cushions, and other comfort products. The practice participates in the Medicare diabetic shoe benefit for qualifying patients and accepts most PPO insurance plans along with Medicare. Dr. Taylor has served as a board member and past president of the Alameda Contra Costa Podiatric Association and is a past recipient of the California Podiatric Medical Association's President of the Year honor.
