Robert Anavian, DPM has practiced podiatry in Torrance, California for years, providing foot and ankle care that ranges from conservative management to reconstructive surgery for patients from infancy through the senior years. A Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics, Dr. Anavian places particular emphasis on biomechanical analysis and the fabrication of custom orthotics, including complex cases that have not responded to previous orthotic therapy, and his office maintains on-site X-ray capabilities and a diabetic shoe program. The practice treats a wide range of conditions, among them heel pain and plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown and fungal toenails, diabetic neuropathy, gout, neuromas, and tarsal tunnel syndrome, along with sports-related and stress injuries. Dr. Anavian also has extensive experience with pediatric foot problems, having served as Chief Resident for the Baja Project for Crippled Children and later as a co-director of that program, helping young dancers and athletes stay active.
