Muir Foot and Ankle Center, directed by Nisha S. Patel, DPM, provides comprehensive foot and ankle care to the Walnut Creek, California community. Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, Dr. Patel treats Achilles tendon problems, ankle instability and sprains, arthritic foot and ankle pain, bunions, hammertoes, flat feet, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, and ingrown or fungal toenails, along with corns, calluses, and diabetic foot concerns. The office offers PinPointe laser treatment for toenail fungus as a single-session, FDA-approved option requiring no anesthesia, plus in-office X-rays, physical therapy, ultrasound, and custom sports orthotics. Dr. Patel, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, also serves as chief of podiatry at John Muir Medical Center and completed her surgical residency training across VA and Kaiser facilities in San Diego and Palo Alto, including a medical mission correcting congenital foot and ankle deformities in Vietnam.
