Manchester Podiatry Center, P.C. has served the greater Hartford, Connecticut area since 1934, when Dr. Barney Wichman first opened the practice on Main Street. His son, Dr. Kenneth Wichman, joined in 1970 and, after 44 years in a traditional office setting, transitioned the practice exclusively to house calls in 2014. Dr. Wichman now provides comprehensive foot and ankle care directly in patients' homes or places of residence throughout the greater Hartford area, scheduling visits by appointment on a case-by-case basis. This home-visit model is designed to serve homebound patients who might otherwise struggle to access podiatric medical care. Dr. Wichman is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association, and has served as past president of both the Hartford County Medical Association and the Kiwanis Club of Manchester.
