Antony Merendino, DPM is a clinical assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, seeing patients in Gainesville, Florida. He earned his podiatric medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed his surgical residency at Kern Hospital for Special Surgery in Michigan. Dr. Merendino's areas of focus include ankle arthroscopy, ankle replacement, ankle pain, broken bones, bunion removal, Charcot foot, claw foot, flat feet, hammer toe repair, high arches, plantar fasciitis, and tarsal tunnel syndrome. His interest in podiatric medicine grew from watching family members experience the complications of diabetes, which continues to shape his focus on preventing diabetes-related foot and ankle disease.
