About Steven C Effren, DPM
Dr. Steven Effren was born in Orlando in 1968 and spent much of his youth in Orangeburg, New York and later the greater Fort Lauderdale area. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and completed his podiatric training at Barry University in Miami in 1998, graduating with honors, before completing his surgical residency at JFK Medical Center in Palm Beach with a focus on trauma and reconstructive surgery. He has practiced in the North Central Florida area since completing his residency and has worked at Live Oak Foot & Ankle in Ocala since 2000, where his wife is also his practice partner. He is on staff at Ocala Regional Medical Center, West Marion Community Hospital, AdventHealth Ocala, and Marion Surgery Center, treating bunions.
