Atlantic Podiatry provides foot and ankle care to Fort Pierce, Florida under Dr. John Goggin and Dr. John V. Perrone, both board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. The practice treats bunions, corns, hammertoes, flat feet, ankle sprains, and heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis or heel spurs. A significant focus is placed on wound care and diabetic foot management, including diabetic limb salvage techniques that combine surgery, vascular medicine, infectious disease treatment, and physical therapy to help preserve limb function and avoid amputation. Dr. Goggin and Dr. Perrone both trained at South Miami Hospital and are affiliated with Lawnwood Medical Center and St. Lucie Medical Center, including its wound care center. Patients are guided through prevention strategies for diabetic ulcers, such as daily foot checks, proper footwear, and prompt wound treatment.
