About John E. Baker, DPM

John E. Baker, DPM, FACFAS has practiced podiatry in Spring Hill, Florida since 1994, later adding a second office in Homosassa. Dr. Baker is board certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and board certified in wound management by the American Podiatric Medical Specialties Board. His practice treats bunions, ankle pain, heel pain, and diabetic foot complications, with particular expertise in endoscopic plantar fascial release for heel pain, nerve decompression for neuroma, lower extremity trauma repair using external fixation, and diabetic wound care for foot ulcers. He also uses EPAT shockwave technology to treat chronic plantar fasciitis and dispenses diabetic shoes to qualifying patients. A past president of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association, Dr. Baker draws on personal experience managing diabetes when caring for his diabetic patients, and he remains active as a lecturer at community and continuing medical education seminars.
