He attended the University of Northern Colorado and then California College of Podiatric Medicine, followed by residencies in general and surgical podiatry, and completed a year of specialized clinical and surgical training in pediatric orthopedics at the University of California San Francisco, where he held a clinical professorship in the Pediatric Orthopedic Department. He has written and published articles for several podiatric and orthopedic journals, including a book chapter. He practices with Foot & Ankle of West Georgia, P.C. in Columbus, Georgia, treating flat feet, fractures, gout, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis and heel pain, ingrown toenails, and neuromas.
