Satilla Foot & Ankle operates two offices, in Waycross and Baxley, Georgia, staffed by three podiatric surgeons. Dr. Leslie Dowling returned to her native southeast Georgia roots after training at Barry University and completing a residency at DeKalb Medical, where she gained extensive experience in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Lee Hlad trained at a level-one trauma center in Columbus, Ohio and later completed a pediatric limb-lengthening and deformity-correction fellowship; he is known locally for his work in limb salvage, external fixation, three-dimensional custom implants, Charcot foot reconstruction, and total ankle and revisional surgery. Dr. Danielle McKenna rounds out the team with a conservative, patient-goal-centered approach to care. Together the physicians describe their mission as bettering the community through quality, holistic, and personalized foot and ankle treatment, drawing on training from some of the field's most demanding surgical residency programs.
