About Lowell Tong, DPM

Born and raised in Honolulu, Dr. Lowell Tong is a graduate of Punahou School who now practices with the Foot & Ankle Institute of Hawaii. He received his bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University and his medical degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Tong completed a three-year foot and ankle surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, where he performed over 1,000 surgical procedures and gained extensive training in bunion surgery, including Lapiplasty and minimally invasive bunion surgery. He has been in private practice in Hawaii since 2005. Dr. Tong is board certified and treats Achilles problems, ankle sprains and instability, fractures, bunions, foot deformities, flat feet, arthritis, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, and neuromas, offering diabetic foot care, wound care, custom orthotics, and regenerative medicine.
