Advanced Foot & Ankle Center, led by Dr. Douglas Williams, has served southeast Idaho from its Blackfoot office since 1997, with a service area extending to American Falls, Aberdeen, Shelley, Firth, Fort Hall, Arco, Mackay, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. Born and raised in Blackfoot, Dr. Williams graduated with honors from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, completed his residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center, and received additional surgical training at East Jefferson General Hospital, where his research on foot chondroma was published in a national podiatric medical journal. The practice treats nail and skin conditions such as athlete's foot, fungal nails, and ingrown toenails; bunions, hammertoes, and diabetic feet, including diabetic shoes and custom orthotics and AFOs; and injuries including sprains, strains, Achilles tendonitis, and running injuries, plus gout, plantar fasciitis, and arthritis. Dr. Williams serves on the Idaho Board of Podiatric Medicine and cares for residents of several extended-care facilities in the area.
