Dr. Blackmer, who trained at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and has held certifications in foot and ankle surgery, CO2 laser surgery, and ankle arthroscopy, was among the first podiatrists in the country trained to offer PinPointe laser treatment for toenail fungus, which he has provided since 2009. The practice also emphasizes non-surgical, conservative care whenever possible, offering permanent ingrown toenail correction with minimal discomfort, extracorporeal shockwave therapy and endoscopic plantar fasciotomy for heel pain, and reconstructive foot surgery when needed. Dr. Blackmer has served on the Idaho State Board of Podiatry and as president of the Idaho Podiatric Medical Association. Same-day appointments are kept open for patients with acute foot problems, and the practice accepts Medicare and Medicaid.
