The Foot Institute of Idaho is led by Dr. William S. Stano, a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who is double board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive ankle and hindfoot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, as well as certified in pedorthics by the American Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Dr. Stano has developed and licensed orthopedic soft goods with major medical device companies and approaches foot and ankle problems with a philosophy that favors restoring function through external, non-surgical means before considering surgery inside the foot. The practice's Walking Center houses an orthotics lab built around the AMFIT system, staffed by certified pedorthist Scott Pixley, providing patients with custom orthotic, bracing, and footwear solutions on site. The Foot Institute of Idaho serves patients from its Boise office as well as a second location in Mountain Home.
