A Belleville, Illinois native, he began his medical journey volunteering at Memorial Hospital while attending Althoff Catholic High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science in integrative biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he also mentored at-risk youth. Dr. Mueller earned his doctorate from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago and completed his surgical residency at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois, serving as chief resident with high-volume training in rearfoot and ankle procedures, including total ankle replacements. He practices in Breese, Illinois.
