Dr. Matthew G. Garoufalis has practiced podiatry in Chicago since 2008 from offices in Chicago and Hinsdale, Illinois, bringing surgical training that began with a residency at the Westside VA Medical Center. Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, he is also a Certified Wound Specialist and a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and previously served as president of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. He is joined in practice by Dr. Sakevich, who is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery and holds a wound care management diplomate. Together the team treats Achilles tendon problems, ankle sprains, bunions, corns, fungal toenails, hammertoes, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, neuromas, plantar fasciitis, flat feet, and warts, with orthotic devices available to help correct arch pain. The practice maintains hospital affiliations with St. Anthony, Mercy, and Hinsdale Hospitals.
