Rather than providing direct patient care itself, the association advocates on legislative and policy issues affecting the profession, offers continuing medical education and events for its members, and maintains a Find a Podiatrist tool that helps the public locate licensed podiatric specialists for referrals. The organization also publishes practice-management resources and a blog covering topics such as billing and coding, and hosts an annual state meeting for its membership.
