Kern Podiatric Group, founded in 1988 as Midwest Foot Care, Ltd., has provided podiatric care and surgical services across the Chicagoland area for decades under Medical Director Dr. Dennis Kern. The practice grew out of Dr. Kern's realization that many senior patients postponed care due to transportation barriers, leading to a longstanding commitment to house calls at assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and senior communities alongside in-office visits. Services include diabetic treatment plans, wound and limb preservation, diabetic shoes, fungus treatment, custom orthotics, and ankle braces, plus corrective surgery and minimally invasive procedures for open and closed fractures. Common conditions treated include heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ulcers, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammertoes, sports injuries, and neuromas. The practice also offers spa and cosmetic services such as medical pedicures and paraffin treatments. Medicare patients are accepted, with the practice honoring approved amounts for covered services.
