About Svetlana Zats, DPM

Dr. Svetlana Zats is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with MidAmerica Orthopaedics, seeing patients at the group's Palos Hills and Mokena, Illinois locations through its Foot and Ankle Clinic. With about a decade of experience, she provides surgical and nonsurgical care for conditions ranging from heel pain and plantar fasciitis to bunion deformities, tendon and ligament injuries, arthritis, and foot and ankle trauma and fractures, along with sports medicine injuries and ankle reconstruction. Dr. Zats also offers custom orthotics, biomechanical evaluation, and platelet-rich plasma injections as a conservative treatment option. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, completed a surgical residency at Rush University Medical Center, and pursued additional foot and ankle fellowship training in Germany. On-site diagnostics at MidAmerica Orthopaedics include X-ray, ultrasound, and EMG testing.
