Active Foot & Ankle Center is the practice of Robert Scott Steinberg, DPM, who has spent 37 years treating podiatric and sports medicine patients in Schaumburg, Illinois. Dr. Steinberg approaches care from a conservative, holistic, and functional medicine perspective, with particular expertise in biomechanical foot orthotics that he has helped design for specific sports. Patients are seen exclusively by Dr. Steinberg rather than an assistant, and the practice treats heel pain and plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes, ankle sprains and fractures, fungal and ingrown toenails, running injuries, and sports-related conditions. Living close to his office in Hoffman Estates, Dr. Steinberg is able to see patients after regular hours and on weekends as his schedule permits, supported by a 24-hour answering service for patient inquiries. He serves communities throughout northern Illinois, including Elk Grove, Bartlett, Arlington Heights, Palatine, and Barrington, drawing on decades of hospital and private-practice surgical experience.
