Dr. Yelena Boumendjel, CWSP, obtained her bachelor's degree in Biology from Loyola University Chicago, then entered William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science as a scholarship recipient, graduating second in her class. During her training, she was involved in anatomy tutoring and Chicago Marathon medical volunteering, with a focus on foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine. She completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, managing foot and ankle conditions, diabetic infections, limb salvage, reconstructive procedures, wound care, and pediatric foot and ankle conditions, and served as chief resident. She is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and the American Board of Wound Management, practicing with Precision Foot and Ankle Clinic in Schaumburg, Illinois.
