About Indiana Podiatric Medical Association

The Indiana Podiatric Medical Association (IPMA), based in Indianapolis, is the state's professional association for podiatric physicians, organized in 1926 to advance the standards and practice of podiatric medicine across Indiana. IPMA is a component society of the American Podiatric Medical Association and works to educate the public, support continuing education for its member podiatrists, and advocate on legislative issues affecting access to foot and ankle care. The association offers training and events including an annual convention, a virtual learning series, radiology training, and CME certificate programs for practicing podiatrists, and it maintains a Find a Podiatrist directory to help the public locate podiatric physicians throughout the state. IPMA is led by an executive director and staff alongside an elected board of DPM physicians representing different regions of Indiana. Rather than providing direct patient care itself, the organization functions as an advocacy, education, and networking hub for the podiatric profession statewide.
