Dr. A. Michael Marasco has practiced podiatric medicine and surgery in Merrillville, Indiana for more than 40 years, serving as a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of both the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. His clinical and consulting work spans the medical, surgical, and orthopedic care of the foot and ankle, infectious diseases of the foot and ankle, diabetic foot treatment, wound care, diabetic ulcer management, and limb salvage, as well as reconstructive surgery and lower extremity sports and fitness injuries. Dr. Marasco also offers second surgical opinions, interpretation of diagnostic foot and ankle imaging and musculoskeletal ultrasound, and biomechanical analysis for functional orthotic fabrication. He has served as SubSection Chief of Podiatry within the Department of Surgery at Franciscan Health in Crown Point, Indiana, and continues to mentor students pursuing careers in healthcare.
