About Paul Butler, MD

Paul Butler, MD is a physician with DMOS Orthopaedic Centers, seeing patients at the group's Ankeny and West Des Moines, Iowa locations. An Iowa native, he completed an orthopedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship with the Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan in Grand Rapids, and his interests include knee arthroscopy, general orthopedic fractures, and complex foot and ankle reconstruction for sports injuries, traumatic fractures, arthritic degeneration, and congenital malformation. Dr. Butler earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, completed his orthopaedic residency through Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and also provides care in arthroscopy, joint replacement, and fracture fixation for other lower extremity problems.
