Iowa Foot & Ankle Clinic has served Cedar Rapids, Iowa since third-generation podiatrist Dr. Peter E. Caldwell began practicing there in 1997, continuing work his father, Dr. Robert M. Caldwell, started in 1970. Both physicians are board certified in foot and ankle surgery and hold fellowship status with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. The clinic treats bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ankle pain and sprains, Achilles tendon problems, arthritic foot and ankle conditions, flat feet, neuromas, warts, corns, calluses, fungal toenails, and athlete's foot, drawing on in-office X-ray and ultrasound imaging to support diagnosis. Beyond routine care, the practice offers diabetic foot care, wound management, custom orthotics, and foot and ankle surgery, and its physicians hold staff privileges at St. Luke's and Mercy Hospitals as well as the Surgery Center of Cedar Rapids. Patients are guided through education and individualized treatment plans designed to relieve pain and restore function.
