Foot and Ankle Wellness Center, which describes itself as a premier podiatry practice, is led by Ijeoma Nwuju, DPM, who sees patients at a Washington, D.C. office as well as a second location in Clinton, Maryland. Dr. Nwuju completed a residency in foot and ankle surgery at Howard University Hospital and trained further at the DC and Baltimore VA Hospitals, with particular interest in pediatric podiatry, sports medicine, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and wound care. The practice treats bunions, hammertoes, and sports injuries as well as foot, heel, and ankle pain, and offers minimally invasive foot surgery alongside custom-fitted orthotics, MLS laser therapy, fungal nail treatment, and diabetic foot care. Additional offerings include medical pedicures and Keryflex nail restoration. Dr. Nwuju is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and is affiliated with several area hospitals.
