About Thomas Vorderer, DPM

Thomas Vorderer, DPM practices podiatry within the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department at Boston Children's Hospital, seeing patients at the Boston campus as well as satellite locations in Waltham and Weymouth, Massachusetts. He earned his podiatric medical degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and completed residency and fellowship training at Cambridge Hospital. Dr. Vorderer has worked in the hospital's sports medicine division for more than two decades, in addition to prior experience in private practice on the South Shore and at public health centers around Boston. His clinical approach centers on identifying the underlying cause of a young athlete's injury, not just treating the symptom, with the goal of helping patients return safely to their sport while avoiding re-injury. As a former competitive distance runner himself, he brings firsthand understanding of athletic demands to his work with young patients.
