TransCare Mobile Health Service, founded in 1997 by Dr. James Anderson Jr., brings podiatric care directly to residents of nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout Massachusetts from its base in Milford. A team of board-certified podiatric physicians and surgeons visits each contracted facility on a recurring cycle, typically seeing every resident every nine to twelve weeks, to provide foot examinations, wound care, trauma management for fractures and other injuries, routine nail and callus care, diabetic foot exams, and custom shoes and orthotics. The service has grown to cover more than 80 homes and facilities statewide, reflecting a mission of delivering compassionate, comprehensive podiatric care to residents who might otherwise struggle to reach a traditional office. Staff maintain prompt scheduling, including same-day appointments when facility needs arise, and coordinate closely with each facility's care team to support residents' mobility and overall foot health.
