Dr. Jay Segel has practiced podiatry on Martha's Vineyard for decades, having trained at Harvard through Cambridge City Hospital after graduating from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Podiatric Examiners. Segel Podiatry, based in West Tisbury, takes a holistic, largely conservative approach to foot care, favoring manual therapy, massage, mobilization, biomechanical correction, and custom orthotics over surgery whenever possible. Dr. Segel invented the DynaFlange custom orthotic and offers computerized video gait analysis and diagnostic ultrasound imaging to evaluate how a patient's structure and movement contribute to pain.
