About Muhammed Sharoz Shamim, DPM

Dr. Muhammed Sharoz Shamim is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon at Insight Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Flint, Michigan, with a special focus on reconstructive surgery, total ankle replacement, minimally invasive bunion correction, and peripheral nerve surgery, as well as arthroscopic surgery for athletic injuries and diabetic Charcot reconstruction. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, and raised in Dubai, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Alabama and a master's degree in biomedical sciences at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Shamim received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, then completed residency training at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University and the Children's Hospital of Michigan, including orthopedic trauma training at Detroit Receiving Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.
