North Oakland Foot & Ankle has cared for patients in Lake Orion and the surrounding Northern Oakland County communities since 1986. Founder Dr. John Arsen, DPM, FACFAS, practices alongside Dr. Sarah Messina, DPM, FACFAS, and both are board certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. The practice treats bunions, heel pain, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, hammertoes, ingrown and fungal toenails, plantar warts, Achilles tendonitis, ankle instability, and diabetic foot concerns. Sports medicine is a particular area of focus for the doctors, who are themselves marathon runners and triathletes; the practice has served as team podiatrist for a regional Olympic development running program and receives referrals from area coaches, physicians, and athletic trainers.
