About Alaa Fawaz, DPM

Dr. Alaa Fawaz, DPM, AACFAS was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University. He completed a three-year surgical residency at Henry Ford Health-Providence, gaining extensive experience in both elective and trauma-related foot and ankle procedures, and developed a strong interest in minimally invasive techniques, sports injuries, and diabetic limb care. His surgical expertise with Michigan Foot and Ankle in Livonia includes both traditional and minimally invasive approaches to bunion correction and soft tissue repair, as well as fracture management, ligament and tendon repair, and diabetic limb preservation. Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Fawaz treats Achilles problems, ankle sprains, arthritis, bunions, corns and calluses, flat feet, fractures, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, neuromas, and plantar warts.
