He completed his surgical residency training at The Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital, was surgically trained in both Michigan and England, has advanced training in complex rearfoot reconstruction and limb salvage, and was a founding member of the St. Luke's Diabetic and Wound Care Center treatment team.
