A proud Metro Detroit native raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Dr. Samuel Austin sees patients at the Rochester Hills office of Epic Foot & Ankle. He graduated from De La Salle Collegiate High School before earning a degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University, then continued his education at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Austin completed his surgical residency at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield-Novi, Michigan, specializing in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction, limb salvage, and trauma, and served as chief resident in his final year. He is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, with advanced expertise in primary and revisional total ankle replacement, and serves as a board certification examiner while mentoring residents at Ascension Providence.
