Dr. Tara Long Scott, DPM, FACFAS is Owner and CEO of the Foot and Heel Pain Institute of Michigan in Southfield, a podiatric surgeon and native of Jackson, Tennessee, and a graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree. She obtained her Doctorate from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed her surgical residency at Kern Hospital in Warren, Michigan. She is the former Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Ascension Providence Hospital in Novi and Southfield, Michigan, a position she held for over 10 years as the first female and African-American to hold it. The practice treats plantar fasciitis and heel pain, corns and calluses, bunions, and ingrown toenails, offering diabetic foot care and foot and ankle surgery.
