About Jennifer A. Gerteisen, DPM

Dr. Jennifer Gerteisen is a native of western Michigan who obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan before attending Des Moines University's College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from 2004 to 2008. Prior to joining Westland Foot & Ankle Specialists in 2011, she completed a three-year surgical residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center that provided extensive training in reconstructive procedures, ankle arthroscopy, and trauma. Dr. Gerteisen is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot and Rearfoot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. She developed her interest in podiatry from being an avid runner, and in her spare time enjoys hiking, camping, and outdoor activities with her husband and two sons.
