Board certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. Ploot performs many procedures in-office under local anesthesia, reserving hospital-based surgery at KRMC HealthCenter Northwest's Surgery Center for more complex cases. The practice treats bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, fractures, ankle sprains, Achilles tendon injuries, arthritis, flatfoot deformity, corns and calluses, plantar warts, heel pain, tendonitis, and ingrown or fungal toenails, the latter addressed with both permanent nail removal and laser treatment. Custom orthotics are cast individually for each patient across functional, sports, geriatric, and dress-shoe styles, with AFO bracing and diabetic shoes also available. Diabetic wound care, ulcer management, and infection treatment round out the practice's at-risk foot care services. Dr. Ploot brings over two decades of experience to the Flathead Valley community he has called home since 2001.
