Carson Valley Footcare is led by Dr. Marc C. Young, who completed his podiatric medical training at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1994 before establishing his practice in the Carson Valley area of Nevada. The office favors evidence-based, nonsurgical treatment approaches whenever appropriate, noting that the vast majority of plantar fasciitis cases can be managed without surgery. Dr. Young treats Achilles tendon problems, ankle instability and sprains, arthritic foot and ankle pain, bunions, calluses, corns, and crush injuries, along with diabetic foot conditions, flat feet, fungal toenails, hammertoes, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, neuromas, and plantar warts. The practice serves both geriatric and pediatric patients and offers pre-fabricated and custom-fitted orthotics, along with an annual diabetic shoe program that provides fitted diabetic shoes and custom inserts. Patients are seen by appointment at the Minden, Nevada office, where routine foot care such as nail and callus trimming is also available.
