About Dr. James Wilton

James P. Wilton, DPM, is a foot, ankle, and peripheral nerve specialist with more than 30 years of experience diagnosing and treating complex nerve-related pain and dysfunction, seeing patients at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, New Hampshire and Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, New Hampshire. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, completed a residency in foot and ankle surgery at Montgomery Hospital, and is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Wilton has served as Medical Staff President at Cottage Hospital and previously as Chief of Staff at Valley Regional Healthcare, and he is a past president of the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons. His practice focuses on nerve compression, chronic pain, and nerve-related foot and ankle conditions, and he has led surgical missions with the Fr. Damien Foundation in Ecuador.
