Alan G. Shier, DPM, has provided podiatric care in Little Falls, New Jersey for more than 35 years, serving patients throughout north central New Jersey communities including Wayne, Montclair, and Parsippany. Growing up working in his family's shoe store gave Dr. Shier an early appreciation for proper footwear, which now shapes his approach to diagnosing and treating sports injuries, heel and arch pain, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, flat feet, and skin and nail conditions such as ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, warts, and corns and calluses. He also provides diabetic foot care and treatment for infant and child foot and gait problems. Dr. Shier trained at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at the Cleveland Foot Clinic, and he holds surgical privileges at Chilton Medical Center and West Parkway Ambulatory Surgery Center in Pompton Plains. An avid cyclist and runner, he brings expertise in biomechanics and gait analysis to his sports medicine patients.
