About Thomas Henry Debenedictis, DPM

Dr. Thomas DeBenedictis was born and raised in Union City, New Jersey, where he now practices with Union City Podiatry, and graduated from Emerson High School. He received a diploma in nursing from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Jersey City before joining the U.S. Army, where he became a registered nurse anesthetist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After completing six years of active duty, Dr. DeBenedictis began his podiatric medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan, completing his surgical residency training at Yale University and West Haven VA Medical Center. He and Dr. Testa started their podiatric practice in Union City in the 1980s. He is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, and has completed over 35 marathons.
